The Louisiana Geospatial Professional Network (formerly LAURISA) is a statewide organization dedicated to supporting and advancing the geospatial profession. Our network brings together GIS analysts, remote sensing specialists, surveyors, planners, developers, and other geospatial practitioners who share a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and professional excellence.
LaGPN serves as a trusted resource for education, knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and community-building. Through events, workshops, training, and partnerships, we strive to strengthen Louisiana’s geospatial workforce and elevate the visibility and impact of spatial technologies across the state.

GPN (formerly URISA) is committed to the next generation of GIS leaders through its Vanguard Cabinet, Young Professional Scholarship, and a multitude of opportunities to connect and make an impact. Individuals who are 35 years of age or younger qualify for this discounted membership.

Geospatial Professionals in Louisiana can sign up to become a non-dues paying "Friend of LAGPN" and follow the chapter news and events on Social Media or this website platform. GPN Members who live or work in the great state of Louisiana can automatically enroll in the Louisiana Chapter when they join GPN.

Scholarship Programs
The scholarship program selects up to two young professionals (35 years old or younger) to attend GIS-Pro in-person. The scholarship application is rigorous, and the evaluation committee appreciates the effort and detail with which all candidates presented their qualifications.
